Milestone #1: Gameplay Prototypes
Hey you! Don't like Brussels Sprouts? Despise the concept of a hot dog wiener? Than this is the game for you! Control Tetris-like pieces as you maneuver around deadly sprouts and hot dogs wieners. Race against the clock in order to finish the level while the platforms you place down disappear beneath your cube feet. Do you have the guts to play with your food?
Controls:
A to move left, D to move right
Space - Jump
Enter - Freeze and create Tetris Pieces
Left and Right Arrow Keys - Move Tetris Piece
Up Arrow - Rotate 90 degrees
Down Arrow - Speed up Tetris Piece
I was just mainly hoping to make a game that's challenging and fun. I think for the most part it is pretty challenging. At first I was questioning the difficulty of the game, wondering if it was too hard. But I feel like I notched down the difficulty a little while still maintaining a challenge. I do believe I can add more to the game so that it can be more enjoyable.
I believe working on the Tetris platforms was a bit challenging for me. While moving them and making them fall was easy enough, some other features were unknown to me. In retrospect it didn't seem as challenging as I once thought it was, so I guess you can call that learning. Making it fade away and delaying the fade was also a struggle.
